Main Achievements

Our team of experts has developed the following large-scale projects in the categories listed below:

• Development of "SVK" two-machine-based Special Purpose Computing System (from 1973 to 1975)
• Development of "Sevan" multiprocessor hardware platform (from 1985 to 1987)

• Development of Real-time Operating System for "SVK" Computing System (1977)
• Development of Real-time Operating System for "Sevan" multiprocessor hardware platform (1986)

• Development of various Automated Control Solution packages; these solutions are being used in number of organizations (developed from 1971 to 1991).

• Deployment and support of Wide Area Automated Control Systems (ACS) developed for number of companies from former USSR (from 1971 to 1991)
• Design, deployment and support of Local and Wide Area ACS developed for the Interior Ministry of Republic of Armenia, and for number of other organizations and companies from Russian Federation (from 1992 to 2003)

Several versions of the computer hardware, computing systems, applied software applications and Operating Systems were tested, and were since then released for production deployment as part of the ACS-s. These computer hardware and computing systems have been actively used by number of companies in the former USSR, and are still in use in many of them.
To satisfy the requirements of the new clients, the institute constantly innovates and improves its computer hardware and communication infrastructure, in accordance to the advances made by the global IT industry.
The hardware used includes more than 10 mainframe servers, more than 100 latest microprocessor-based workstations running both on Windows and UNIX platforms, multiple web servers, email servers, and DB servers, etc.

Local and International Partners

Institute has close ties with the leading organizations and academic institutions of Armenia. This includes: Yerevan State University (YSU), State Engineering University of Armenia (SEUA), American University of Armenia (AUA), Institute for Informatics and Automation Problems of the NAS of Armenia, Yerevan Physics Institute (YerPI), Yerevan Network and Communication Scientific Research Institute, Presidium of National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, Yerevan Scientific Research Institute of Mathematical Machines (YerSRIMM).
Many institute employees hold teaching positions at various higher education institutions as well.

Institute also has close ties and long-term relationship with number of companies from Russian Federation. This includes: Automated Systems Scientific Research Institute (ASSRI, Moscow), Information Technologies Scientific Research Institute (ITSRI, Tver), "Mars" Scientific Research Firm ("Mars", Moscow), "Polyot" Scientific Research Institute ("Polyot", Nijni Novgorod), etc.
